Tournament Rules and Summary
The tournament will be held out of Cabbage Key on October 1st & 2nd 2010. Registration will start at 3:00p.m. Open bar at 6:30p.m on Friday night. The tournament starts at the ICW Marker 60 (entrance to Cabbage Key) at 7:30 a.m. with a potato gun start on Saturday morning. Fishing will conclude at 4:00 p.m. Open bar at 6:30p.m.
- State
of Florida Fishing Laws apply.
- A team will consist of two to four qualified anglers with
an agriculture connection.
- The tournament reserves the right to define “Qualified
Angler”.
- No guides or professional anglers allowed.
- The Redneck is a catch and release tournament. The overall
length of each fish (pinched tail) must fall within the
legal slot. All weighed fish must be released alive. Teams
may improve their position prior to 4:00 p.m.
- Total weight of 1 snook, and 2 redfish per team will determine
the first seven places in the Main Event and the first three
places in the Amateur Team Event and first three places
in the Calcutta.
- To qualify for the Amateur Team Event, all team members
may not have made money fishing in the last 24 months.
- Tournament fishing on Saturday only, from 7:30 a.m. to
4:00 p.m. after check in.
- Weigh station hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The Weigh Master’s word is final.
- No wade fishing. All anglers must fish from the boat.
- No pet, corked, or penned fish.
- No glassy eyed or mutilated fish.
- Teams may assist disabled tournament boats and be allowed
a late weigh-in.
- Disabled tournament boats will be disqualified.
